ABOUT ME!

 

Hello! I’m Siân, an independent Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist based in Cardiff.

​

I graduated in 2008 from De Montfort University in Leicester and am registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPCReg). I’m also a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).

​

With 16 years of extensive experience working with children, I’ve had the privilege of supporting young people across various settings, including mainstream primary and secondary schools, nurseries, community clinics, and in their homes. My journey began with two NHS trusts in London, and more recently, I transitioned to independent practice after moving back to Wales.

​

My approach is personalised to each child and their family because I believe that building a strong connection early on is key to providing effective support. I’m passionate about empowering parents and professionals with the skills to nurture children's communication development. Children learn best through play, and I strive to incorporate child-led play into my sessions while always grounding my work in evidence-based practices.

When I’m not working as an SLT, you’ll find me spending quality time with my friends and family, who are very important to me. I love getting outdoors in the beautiful Welsh countryside, staying active, and experimenting in the kitchen!
